My dear 4th year’s friends,

After tomorrow we will have the most interesting feedback session EVER! Please, this time we don’t have excuses, PREPARE A PRESENTATION, no improvisations, no free speeches, no narratives loops…..

THE PHYSICAL ZOETROPE IS AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT. It is necessary to coordinate yourselves to bring the pieces (mac with arduino installed).

* Vidal y Asociados arquitectos (VAa), Lead Architects of the New T2A Terminal in Heathrow airport, leading the design up to RIBA stage F, and currently assisting the construction process, was born in 2004 thanks to Luis Vidal, and also to the dreams of a group of professionals who joined him with the aim of building a creative platform which the norm would be to offer not only good quality sustainable designs but also original answers to the urban and architectural issues of today. Having the end user always in mind, the practice has become in a short time one of the most innovative and committed offices in the pursuit of functional, flexible and sustainable designs of the Spanish scene.

 VAa has won first prices in competitions of various architectural typologies, i.e.: the new Zaragoza’s airport terminal for the 2008 Expo (nominated for the Mies Van der Rohe prize), Hospitals as  the Infanta Leonor Hospital in Madrid ,Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza, Vigo’s new hospital, or the interior design for the restaurant in the Reina Sofia Museum (awarded with the Architectural Prize from Madrid’s Mayor to the best commercial establishment of 2005).

 These projects are works which have either been constructed or are in the process of being built.  Since its beginning, VAa established a partnership agreement with Rogers Strirk Harbour + Partners for the development of projects in Spain.

 Currently, along with Renzo Piano’s practice (RPBW), they are working on the design of a cultural centre BOTIN in Santander.
