REFERENCE, Casa Osmosis by John Osborne

Casa Osmosis serves as a seasonal surf residence overlooking Play Hermosa. The concept of the residence involves breaking down the boundaries between inside and outside, walls and roofs. Taking advantage of the tropical climate the residents are able to move through zones of comfort based on the transitions between areas, depending on usage and weather conditions.

A fabric roof and expanded metal partitions create zones of varying natural ventilation throughout the residence. Along with feeling the natural environment, the translucency of these two materials allows daylight to flood into the space further dissolving boundaries of inside and outside.
