Did I ever show you these? –

Hansje van Halem graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2003 and works as an independent graphic designer since. She has great love for typography, book design and all other types of printed matter. Besides creating letters, textures and patterns (digitally and manually) she loves to solve editorial problems with typography and materialisation. In 2013 Sketchbook – Hansje van Halem was published at Uitgeverij De Buitenkant. 448 pages of type and pattern sketches, hard cover bound. — available via the webshop

In addition to working on commissioned assignments, Hansje is also available for giving lectures and workshops. Don’t hesitate to get in touch for information, a collaboration or a price estimation for a possible project.

“I find repetitive work soothing. It calms me down and allows me some time to think about other things while being productive at the same time. I like the tension between a systematic approach, legibility and (ir)regularity. I find it equally interesting to only draw the textures and end up with patterns.” — read more at Typo/Graphic Posters
